Customers of cashflow software giant Voyant have been targeted by a malicious email that could threaten to expose private information of thousands of advisers and their clients.
An individual posing as the US-based tech provider, which is accessed by more than 6,000 UK advisers including some at St James's Place and major banks like Lloyds, emailed its clients on Monday (9 March) morning. The email, which said it was from the inbox of Voyant head of client relations and sales UK Claire Evans, contained a PDF document that looked like an invoice with Voyant branding.
