A London financial adviser whose Zoom meeting was hacked by people posting pornographic images has warned advisers to “assume the world is eavesdropping” on your conversations.
Use of video conferencing software Zoom has increased dramatically in recent weeks as more people work from home, with a 535% spike in daily traffic to its download page, analysis firm SimilarWeb revealed. However, reports of "zoom-bombing", where hackers gain unfettered access to meetings, has led some firms to steer away from the software for client meetings, including London Chartered advice firm Capital Asset Management.
