Aviva’s restricted advice operation has become a whole of wealth business as its advisers will now cover investments as well as retirement.
Aviva Financial Advice (AFA) managing director Mary Harper first outlined the plans in an exclusive interview with Professional Adviser in February. AFA was established in 2016 with 12 advisers with a retirement advice-only remit but after a strategic review that focus was deemed "too narrow". Since then its adviser ranks have risen to a peak of 100 and then down to the current 28.
