Grayside Financial Services IFA Richard Essex, who appeared on a panel alongside advisers Clémence Chatelin and Jeannie Boyle, has told financial advisers to “play it simple” with ESG jargon when talking to clients.
Speaking on the panel at the Sustainable Investment Festival, hosted by Professional Adviser and sister publications Investment Week, Professional Pensions and International Investment, the trio discussed how advisers can cut through the jargon of ESG terminology. Essex said it was important clients and advisers educate themselves on ESG. "Don't be afraid to ask - ask open questions and invariably you will find that clients are interested and engaged in this."
