Two in three pension transfer requests raised scam warning flags in February, according to XPS Pensions Group.
This represents an increase in the number of transfer requests that raised scam warning flags last month, where one in two transfers triggered warning signs. This comes as defined benefit transfer activity is continuing to decrease. According to the XPS transfer activity index, 40 members out of every 10,000 transferred their pensions across the month. This represents a decrease over the previous month, where the number was 47. Similarly, the transfer value index fell for the third consecutive month.
