Penfold research states that Croatia is the best retirement option

Google searches for ‘best country to retire to from the UK' have risen 94.1% in the last 12 months, revealing an increasing demand for pensioners to relocate abroad in search of a better quality of life, according to Penfold.

Analysis by the online pension provider compared 12 lifestyle factors including cost of living, world healthcare ranking and population of over 55s to reveal the most desirable countries for Brits to retire in.  The top countries Brits are already most likely to retire to were each compared against 12 key lifestyle factors, including the current exchange rate, healthcare costs, average flight cost from the UK and the amount of money required to apply for a Visa.  As relocation plans surge due to the cost-of-living crisis, Croatia, Spain and Ireland have been named the top countries fo...
