Artificial intelligence (AI) will open the gates for a radically different way of working for financial advisers though what that will look like in practice remains relatively unknown, industry professionals say.
Speaking on a panel at NextGen Planners' Supernova 2023 conference today (16 June) Asset Map director of business development Gary Winslow said it was likely AI would be "a co-pilot for a financial planner". "It's going to make our lives 50% easier, but what does that mean for planners in five years' time," he questioned. "Does it mean everyone will have 50% more capacity or does it mean 50% will not be here?"
