Brits unsatisfied with retirement savings yet shy away from advice

Only one in ten UK adults have sought professional advice

Despite widespread dissatisfaction with their savings, only one in ten UK adults (11%) have sought professional advice, according to research from True Potential.

The research, conducted in collaboration with YouGov and included 2,035 adults, showed that almost half (49%) reported feeling uncomfortable with their level of retirement savings, whilst 38% said it is unlikely they will achieve their retirement goals. Despite widespread concern about affording retirement, only one in ten (11%) respondents had sought professional financial advice. Those aged 25-49 were the least likely to have sought advice (90%) despite the importance of beginning retirement planning early.
