The majority believe younger advisers do not lack competence, but they need more experience, results from the second PA Asks survey found.
When asked ‘Do you think younger advisers are less competent than the older generation of advisers?': 62.9% of respondents answered ‘no', 17.4% answered ‘I don't know' and 19.7% answered ‘yes'. A respondent who agreed with the statement argued: "They may have more exams behind their name, but they have no idea of client engagement, everyone is leaving the industry and who will now teach them?"
