Policy watch… It seems counterintuitive to start a month in review with two super-recent policy announcements but that's how the cookie crumbles. Let's start with early morning news from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on 29 November which outlined its plans to make investment advice firms hold capital reserves to make sure any future client redress is paid by them under a "polluter pays" model.
