Single-adviser firm sells to local IFA as he 'shuns consolidators'

Simon Aucott sells his firm to Staffordshire-based IFA Bank House

Staffordshire-based independent financial advice firm Bank House Financial Planning has acquired local single-adviser firm Fox Whittle Financial Management.

The acquisition brings Bank House to £185m assets under management and about 450 clients. Fox Whittle founder and director Simon Aucott said his clients were "not for sale" and that he "would not ever consider approaching a consolidator" to take over his firm. The deal completed in August 2023 and Aucott stayed on throughout the move to advise clients under the Bank House umbrella.
