UK election high on clients' radars as impact on finances is flagged

Majority of advisers have been asked by clients about the financial impact

The majority of advisers say that they have been asked by clients about the impact a potential change in government could have on their finances, according to Schroders.

Its UK Financial Adviser Pulse Survey for June 2024 found that 74% of advisers included have been asked about the impact of the election by clients, whilst 26% said they have not. This comes as prime minister Rishi Sunak announced that the general election will be held on July 4. Parties begun to release their manifestos this week, with the Liberal Democrats, Conservatives, Green Party and Labour sharing their pledges.
