After 14 years of Conservative leadership in the UK, we went to the polls this week and called for a change.

New prime minister Keir Starmer and the Labour Party saw a landslide success yesterday – indeed the best performance of the party in a century. I really feel we are on the edge of something new. We have experienced a lot in the years since the Retail Distribution Review, but the party calling the shots has remained unchanged. Our new regulatory era of Consumer Duty has collided with a new policy era – different foci, different approaches, and likely very different outcomes. Strap in!
