Most fixed firms agree FCA regulation enhances UK's reputation

More than half agree regulation is aligned with rules imposed by other regulators

Most fixed firms agreed that Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation enhances the reputation of the UK as a financial centre.

For the FCA & Practitioner Panel 2023/24 survey, firms were shown a series of statements to gauge their views on the impact of FCA regulation on financial services. Back in February, the regulator said that it will be collecting views from an increased sample of flexible firms this year, totalling 25,000.  It found that a majority of fixed firms agreed that FCA regulation enhances the reputation of the UK as a financial centre (84%), up from 78% in the 2022/23 survey results.
