Wealth firm declared in default by FSCS over pensions advice

One complaint upheld against Intelligent Wealth Management Partnership

Intelligent Wealth Management Partnership, trading as IWMP, has been declared failed by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) over pensions advice.

The FSCS confirmed to PA that one complaint has been upheld, leading to the default declaration and the other is in progress. Both were pensions advice related and not related to the British Steel Pension Scheme. According to the Financial Conduct Authority register, the Lichfield-based wealth firm was first registered in 2011 however was no longer been authorised since September 2021. Companies House indicates that the firm was dissolved in March this year and was incorporated in June 2006.
