Over a third of advisers unsure about most appealing sustainability labels

Survey results underline a gap in adviser confidence

More than a third of financial advisers remain uncertain about which of the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) sustainability investment labels will resonate most with clients, according to Schroders’ UK Financial Adviser Survey 2024.

The survey, conducted between 23 October and 5 November 2024 with responses from 293 advisers - an increase from 254 last year - revealed that 36% of advisers chose "don't know" when asked which sustainability label would have the broadest appeal. This figure outstrips the preference for any single label, with 18% of advisers backing both "sustainability mixed goals" and "sustainability focus" as the most likely to attract clients.
