I’m not sure what’s been the most irritating thing about this competition so far….Robert Green’s Jack Douglas impersonation between the sticks (and Jack Douglas wasn’t very funny either) or the incessant drone of those damned vuvuzelas.

I'm not sure what's been the most irritating thing about this competition so far….Robert Green's Jack Douglas impersonation between the sticks (and Jack Douglas wasn't very funny either) or the incessant drone of those damned vuvuzelas.

Actually, there’s no comparison. Surely the only possible positive feature of a vuvuzela is that it’s given you another word to show off with if you are a scrabble player.  And I’m not. It’s made me more tolerant of the Blackpool Drummer who regularly interrupts the updates from Bloomfield Road during the domestic season.  In fact, I’m tempted to invite the Sheffield Wednesday Band and Big John and his Pompey chimes round to watch the next match at my place to bring a bit of normality back to watching football.  Unless of course the vuvuzela-blowers could be coerced into honking the Grea...
