With Financial Planning Week under way, and the tenth and last adviser seminar for 2012 wrapped up, AIC training manager Jackie Lockie reflects on her year on the road meeting advisers.

Many advisers have come up to me following our seminar sessions and admitted their initial reluctance to include investment companies in their portfolios. However, they have then gone on to say that, now they have a clearer understanding of the issues, they want to start including investment companies in their portfolios. I'm always quite apprehensive talking about some of the basic issues surrounding investment companies for fear that my intelligent audience will slate me for being too basic. No reason to be though, as talking about my own personal experiences and the 'top ten' issue...
