Advisers’ fight for the re-introduction of a long-stop on consumer complaints against the advice they have received is in the news again: a petition launched by adviser support group Tenet has attracted, to the date of this article, almost 2,500 signatures. Tenet aims to secure 10,000 names over the coming months, a figure that would ensure the issue is brought to the attention of the government’s petitions committee. Will it achieve its target?
