There is no doubt that the pension freedoms present a significant step change for the financial advice profession. Having spoken to a number of advisers since the changes were announced, there appears to be a genuine sense of excitement and rightly so - the new rules are changing perceptions. Anything that supports the longer-term savings market in this way has to be viewed positively for all, whether a platform, adviser and especially for the consumer.
