What happened Nick Cann was lecturing financial planning students in Northampton on the 28 March 2013 when he collapsed, an ambulance was phoned and he was rushed to Northampton Hospital. We later learned that he had suffered a major stroke which had affected the left-hand side of his brain. When Nick was admitted to hospital, a scan of his brain showed thrombolysis, which is the breakdown of blood clots formed in blood vessels.
