It's an election year, and Rishi Sunak has said it's his working assumption the UK general election will be in the second half of the year. It's a bit of an oddly contrived expression, seeing as he is the one pulling the trigger, but all eyes are now settling on November as the likely date for ballot boxes to be rolled out across the country.
