Court proceedings against embattled self-invested personal pension (SIPP) provider Liberty SIPP are set to begin next year, according to law firm Anthony Philip James & Co (APJ).

APJ managing director Anthony Wilson said claims against SIPP providers had so far only "scratched the surface", arguing many more "victims" deserved compensation for losses caused by risky investments in SIPPs. Wilson said he expected court proceedings to begin against Liberty SIPP in 2019, which would include cases yet to come from APJ.
