Landmark pension scam ruling: Did the Ombudsman get it wrong?

A failure to pass on warnings about pension liberation fraud has seen Northumbria Police Authority pay a high price following a Pensions Ombudsman ruling which commentators described as a "landmark" decision. The Pensions Ombudsman's decision in question related to ‘Mr N', who transferred-out from the Police Pension Scheme to the London Quantum Scheme in 2014.
