Things are changing, but adviser relationships remain essential

After a year in the top job at Canada Life UK, Lindsey Rix spoke to Jenna Brown about the provider’s transformation project, its crucial relationship with advisers and the current economic outlook

Lindsey Rix joined Canada Life UK as its chief executive in September 2021 and after a year in the job says she and her team at the "traditional" provider have made great strides to transform operations while maintaining strong performance. Rix, who joined the provider from rival Aviva, says Canada Life has historically been a "product-focused organisation" but the first thing on her to-do list was to change that viewpoint. "I've been getting to know the business, understanding its culture," she says. "We have clearly set out where we want to be and who we want to be in the future. ...
