By Robert Maharajh Gartmore has taken its first steps into the alternative investments arena with the launch of two hedge funds, as exclusively reported in last month's International Investment. AlphaGen Capella is a Cayman-domiciled European equity long/short fund managed by Roger Guy and Guillaume Rambourg. The AlphaGen Selector fund, managed by Bob Jolly and James Binny, is a Dublin-based open-ended unit trust that provides a total return investment approach in highly rated liquid bond and global currency markets.
