Rowanmoor launches life assurance scheme

Rowanmoor Pensions has launched a life assurance scheme for active members of its small self-administered schemes (SSAS) or family pension trusts (FPT).

The life assurance scheme offers death-in-service benefits and can provide cover of an amount up to the lifetime allowance, less the value of any existing pension benefits available, paid out as a tax-free lump sum on the member’s death to his dependant. The scheme gives cover up to £600,000 for people aged 18 to 50 or £300,000 for people aged 51 to 60 without underwriting if the member answers four lifestyle questions acceptably.
