Clerical Medical appoints sales director

Van der Wielden, who also joins the HBOS financial services management board, previously held a chief executive officer role in the insurance and investment division for HBOS Australia. He entered the company in 1998 as managing director of the St Andrew's Insurance business. Other roles have included working for Fortis Group as state manager of Western Australia and South Australia between 1989 and 1998.
