PPF launches pension compensation initiative

The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) has launched the ‘Protecting People's Pensions' initiative targeted at members of work based pension schemes.

The launch was marked by the publication of an easy-to-understand booklet called ‘Help! My employer has gone bust … and I think I might lose my pension’ which explains how PPF compensation works. The leaflet will made available to scheme members through scheme trustees, the PPF website and links with other relevant organisations, including Citizen’s Advice. The overall initiative is aimed at raising awareness among members in defined benefit pension scheme about the PPF and the protection it offers.
