FSA campaigns for workplace presenters

The Financial Services Authority has launched a consumer campaign on its website which it hopes will build up a volunteer force of financial services workplace presenters.

As part of its financial capability programme, the FSA is hoping to encourage 500,000 employees to attend an at-work ‘make the most of your money’ seminar by 2011. To achieve this, the FSA needs to increase its pool of volunteer presenters who would give up one day a month of their time to provide “general financial education” to consumers on topics such as savings and investment, insurance, mortgages and pension planning.
