PPF regulations released for consultation

Regulations governing the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) have been released for consultation by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The consultation period will run until 3 January as the DWP is aiming to lay legislation before Parliament early next year, ready to come into force in April 2006. Industry and stakeholders have been invited by the government to comment on the 10 regulations which relate to, amongst others, the technical aspects of the PPF levies, and the valuation of the PPF.
