A vocational qualification for administrators of Self Invested Personal Pensions (Sipps) and Small Self Administered Schemes (Ssas) has been launched by the Pensions Management Institute.
The Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) has been developed by the PMI, together with specialists in the area of member-directed pension schemes, to provide a framework for developing work based experience of self administered schemes. In addition the PMI says it is an ‘appropriate’ examination for this occupational area within the requirements of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) as implemented by the Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC).
