The Pensions Regulator is consulting until December 19 on the time period for resolving pension scheme disputes.
The regulator’s code of practice currently states it expects trustees or managers to consider the matter within four months of receiving the member’s application. Applicants should receive notification usually no later than 15 working days after the decision. However, there is flexibility within the code for the decision to be made over a shorter or slightly longer time frame.
