Research from consultant Aon suggests workers have little faith in government when it comes to retirement advice, instead preferring to turn to their employers.
Aon's research suggests nearly half of UK employees (47.3%) feel that their employers are best suited to offer information on pension provision and financing retirement. The study of 1,500 people found that about 1-in-10 employees (12.7%) turned to IFAs as the next port of call. What should concern pensions minister Malcolm Wicks is the finding nearly all of those questioned (95%) have lost trust in the government’s ability to help them plan for a "secure" retirement.
