A pensions expert says it is too late to backtrack on pensions simplification, with the wheels already in motion towards 6 April 2006.
Mike Morrison, pensions strategy manager at Winterthur Life, rebukes various media press calls for chancellor Gordon Brown to u-turn on various issues within the new simplified pensions regime. Speaking at a summer roadshow event in Harrogate, Morrison says most advisers will have already reviewed their client portfolios in preparation for legislative changes due in April next year.
