Enhanced annuities site 'needs more work'

A service designed to provide advisers with a universal quotation request form for six enhanced annuities providers may not be as simple as intended.

The website www.commonquotation.co.uk says the site provides a common request form for annuities, which “has been agreed between the major providers of enhanced annuities”. It says its aim is to “simplify and speed up the process of getting you [advisers] offer terms for your clients that qualify for enhanced annuity terms”, the advantage being “only one quotation request form will need to be completed by your client to obtain offer terms from each of the participating providers”.
