Demand is running high for ideas and explanations of how property can be incorporated into SIPPs come A-Day, says Winterthur Life.

The provider points out that with the FTSE recovered to the 5,000 points level IFAs are likely to be looking to review portfolios bearing in mind future investments. Property is high on the agenda, but intermediaries should realise it can be a complex area, particularly involving residential property in the UK and abroad. Complexities include legal and practical issues, such as local inheritance laws, which should also be considered along with the lure of tax efficiency and attractive returns.
