Three major governing pensions bodies have signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with the objective of improving pension security.
The agreement between the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), the Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), provides a framework for the role of each body and how how they will all function together in pension regulation and member protection. The memmorandum sets out divisions of responsibility based on four guiding principles: Clear accountability - Each public body will be accountable for its actions.
