An updated guide has been issued by the government for carers and parents suggesting ways they could boost their pension before April.
Initiatives such as the State Second Pension and Home Responsibilities Protection (HRP) have, according to the government, enabled carers and parents to boost their pensions even if they are not in employment. The 52-page document: State Pensions for carers and parents – Your guide, informs readers of their rights, and the necessary steps they need to take to make sure they receive their entitlements.
