The Chancellor has increased the Inheritance Tax threshold from £275,000 to £325,000 ensuring 90% of estates pay no tax.
The Chancellor has announced proposals to increase the IHT threshold to £312,000 in the financial year 2008-2009. Then the following year Gordon Brown has said the IHT threshold will increase to £325,000. IFAonline
