Almost a third of workers with no pension provision are unaware of the issues and publicity surrounding pensions, particularly after the publication of the Turner report, claims research from B&CE Benefit Schemes.
In one of the first surveys conducted among those in full-time work since the second report from the Pensions Commission was published, the results show there is widespread support for auto-enrolment and soft compulsion, but not for a rise in retirement age. Carried out by TNS on behalf of B&CE Benefit Schemes, the survey conducted 622 interviews to examine workers’ attitudes towards retirement planning since the Turner report came out on November 30.
