A free, independent service, provided through the workplace, is to be set up by the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF to provide pensions information for working people.
The project has just won government backing, and is scheduled to begin later this year, says the NAPF. Working in partnership with the manufacturers’ organisation, the EEF, and trade union, Community, PensionsForce will: help increase awareness of the need to plan for retirement explain the options available to working people provide information about workplace pensions ensure individuals are in a better position to make informed choices empower people to seek further advice where appropriate.
