The Treasury will invite key industry figures to two workshops during the next fortnight to discuss the possible linking of liquid savings and pensions.
The workshops which will examine the 'feeder funds' model - which allows ISA savings to be fed into pensions - and saving through the workplace as aids to boosting retirement pots. Treasury ministers have pledged to investigate ways in which long term savings can be made more flexible in the hope it will to encourage more people to save.
