Trade unions meet today to discuss potential strikes at the NHS as they predict talks with the government over pension reform will collapse.
Unison is hosting meetings in London with representatives from the British Medical Association (BMA), Royal College of Nursing, British Dental Association (BDA) and others, the Guardian reports. Public sector workers are unhappy with reforms which increase their contributions whilst reducing their payouts, following recommendation in the Hutton Report designed to cut the burden of their pension liabilities on the public purse.
