Draft legislation on reforming long-term care has been confirmed in the Queen's Speech.
She said "a draft bill will be published to modernise adult care and support in England." A coalition of 78 charity and campaigners urged prime minister David Cameron in yesterday's Daily Mail to make "social care reforms his personal mission" amid speculation the issue would not be included in the monarch's speech. However, while a modern care system was promised, there was no detail on how the funding system will be reformed.
