Pension providers who auto-enrol workers into "dodgy old" schemes will be named and shamed by the pensions minister.
Steve Webb singled out Aviva for praise after it announced it would not agree to auto-enrol new workers into high cost legacy schemes. Speaking at the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) annual conference, Webb said: "So that's one insurer saying we will not auto-enrol new people into dodgy old schemes. What about the rest?" He added: "My challenge to the industry is to say we've got hundreds of thousands of people coming in this side of Christmas into large scale good quality low cost schemes.
