Cofunds has joined Skandia, Standard Life and Axa Elevate in lobbying fund managers for "super clean" share classes.
Following HM Revenue & Custom's (HMRC's) decision to tax rebates, larger platforms have been pushing for cheaper clean share classes to mirror their commercial advantage, previously driven through the rebate model. Director of marketing Verona Smith said while Cofunds would continue to support advisers using rebated funds, it would also be pushing for super clean share classes. "We have always had a consistent position in striving to get the best outcome for our clients - if this is in the form of the lowest priced or preferential share class, then we will push for this," she said. ...
