Providers - and adviser Almary Green - have given their verdicts on news today that the government plans to lift NEST's contribution cap and transfer restrictions in 2017.
Standard Life head of workplace strategy Jamie Jenkins said he welcomed the move. "I'm very supportive of lifting the restrictions, and the timing suggested, as it links in with the full introduction of auto enrolment. "It is also quite important timing in terms of the small pot regime as the next four to five years is a good time scale to deal with that. NEST is a hugely important part of the landscape and this seems like a very sensible way forward."
