First firm handed AE failure notice by pensions watchdog The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has issued its first notice to an employer which has failed to meet its auto-enrolment (AE) duties. TPR confirmed the non-compliance notice, which compels employers to make specific remedial action, was served to an un-named company in the period to 12 August. A further 38 warning letters were issued to businesses in this time. Warning letters are part of TPR's formal compliance process but do not come within its statutory powers.
