HMRC 'working relentlessly' to stamp out pension liberation

HMRC has urged the pensions industry to continue to work closely with it to stamp out pensions liberation.

Speaking at an Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS) technical workshop held on 3 October, HMRC head of compliance Kirsty Allsopp urged providers to continue to feed information through. "We need the industry to work with us on this. Pensions liberation is a huge issue and we are working relentlessly to stamp it out," she said. "Please pick up the phone, send an email or write to us as the more information we receive then the more we have to act on."
